Possible Origins Of...
Could the Book with the Blue Cover be real?
It could be that most patrons asking for a book get embarassed when they forget the information about it, and so fall back on describing its physical features. Being unaware of that as well, they use the standard "oh, the color is..." answer.
But why do they always choose blue?!
And just what is it they're asking for that they can't completely remember?
If
you subscribe to Carl Jung's concept of a Collective
Unconscious, then there's a possible underlying basis of fact that once
long ago there was a book that people knew they needed to read. The book in
question had a blue cover to it. This was somehow passed down either as a shared
element of learned behavior or as a common geneticlly remembered trait (those
who survived to propagate carried with them the genes that compel their descendants
to read anything with a blue cover...well, that's Darwinism
for you).
So what was the book? Why is it so important?
