| Before the Ritki invasion shattered Paragon City, Troy Viator
was a mild-mannered reference librarian at Bautown's public library branch.
During the invasion, amongst the chaos Viator was confronted by the forces
of the Circle of Thorns, magic-wielding villains seeking arcane knowledge
to conquer this world as well as others. He entered the fray against the
Thorns, who had come to steal the entire book collection for their own evil
needs, and on the verge of death Viator seized a familiar book of magic
he had read during several lunch breaks. Using the book, he summoned mystic
powers of his own to fight back. At first he was convinced he had succeeded
in beating back the dark forces, but to his horror the book shelves were
illusions cast to distract him. The Circle of Thorns had stolen all books
except the one in Viator's hands: they had won. Now with Paragon's library system closed down, Viator has taken to the streets as WittyLibrarian, using his powers for good, feared for his use of one-liners and snarky repartee, and seeking at every turn his archenemies the Circle of Thorns, desperate to recover the collection he had let slip through his fingers... |
